Nassim Takahashi, MS, BCBA, LBA

Hi there! I’m Nassim and I proudly wear the badge of an ABA nerd. I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 11 years of experience immersed in the world of Behavior Analysis. My journey in this field has been nothing short of exhilarating and I’ve served many roles including Behavior Technician, Parent Trainer/Consultant, Program Supervisor,  RBT supervisor, BCBA/ BCaBA fieldwork supervisor, and Clinical Director of a start-up ABA company. In my clinical practice, I love working with early learners, shaping verbal behavior, and training clinicians, caregivers, and, pretty much, anyone eager to dive into the wonders of Behavior Analysis. Beyond the world of Behavior Analysis, you'll often find me exploring my neighborhood on foot, accompanied by my faithful right-hand furry gal, Gigi (my dog). When not out and about, I enjoy piecing together a Lego set, finding random drawers and cubbies to organize, and researching recipes (though executing them might be another story altogether!).

About TBB

Throughout my ABA career, I've encountered a wide array of challenges, and gained a good deal of experience from tackling tasks such as developing/programming/ supervising comprehensive ABA treatment plans, guiding parents through behavior-reduction strategies, supervising teams of RBTs, and offering mentorship to aspiring BCBA candidates. While facing these tasks head on, a couple of things happened: I gained extensive knowledge about the many roles and responsibilities that ABA clinicians, particularly BCBAs, take on, and I discovered a knack for developing tools and resources to help effectively manage the demands required of clinicians. With these realizations (along with some frustrating experiences working for other companies), I arrived at the decision to channel my passion for ABA into nurturing and empowering others through teaching and training in a way I find effective and enjoyable.

So, The Behavior Brain was born with 2 primary objectives…

  1. Support fellow ABA enthusiasts (and anyone eager to learn!) by providing an array of tools and resources to disseminate ABA and streamline ABA practice.

  2. Extend training services tailored for clinicians, including RBTs and BCBA/BCaBA candidates, aiming to enrich their knowledge and skills in the field.

With these aims in mind, The Behavior Brain hopes to ignite and nurture your inner (or outer) ABA nerd :)
